After the launch of 2009 bmw x5, the auto maker is planning for a joint venture to the manufacture light weight vehicles using the carbon fibers. The company has started to work to acquire the necessary raw materials to design lightweight design with a totally different architecture. The vehicle is planned to get launch in the first half of 2010. The company would have planned this idea to meet the stiff competition in the market. Many new innovations and improvement are growing in the industry and every car maker is working with maximum efforts in bringing up a totally new model.

A recent study says that electric and hybrid cars would dominate the entire car industry in the near future. Especially the hybrid cars which are slowly becoming very popular in a very short time would reach the top of the market. These Hybrid cars have a unique feature of supporting green house effect which is most welcome in the stage of global warming. In the near future, hybrid cars would be the most liked by many people. Like BMW, many other car manufacturing companies are coming out with new improvements to face the challenges from Hybrid and electric cars.
